Again, I have fallen behind with the news and stuff due to health reasons. I've not abandoned the site, I just haven't been able to do much work to it, other than the back-end maintenance that you don't see.

So, I really could do with some help - if you think you can help with posting news, or something, please get in touch.

Reports have been floating around that the DVD for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released on December 11th - this date now seems to have been confirmed on dvdactive.com and comingsoon.net.

This is most likely the US release date, the exact date for release in the UK is not yet known, however, we will bring you more info and a review in due course.

The Muggles Guide, along with other sites and press were invited to take part in a conference call with Harry Potter actor Dan Radcliffe, to ask him questions about his new film, December Boys. Unfortunately, due to last minute technical problems, we weren't able to take part.

However, you can listen to the interview by downloading an MP3 from HPANA's web site. They will have a transcript available soon.

After being out on IMAX for seven week, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has set new records at the box office, earning $35 (£17.2 approx) million worldwide.

The film has earned $24 (£11.8 approx) million at 91 US IMAX screens and $11 (£5.4 approx) million at 51 screens in the rest of the world.

One of the four famous Founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Rowena Ravenclaw was the most brilliant witch of her time, though legend has it that a broken heart - cause unknown - contributed to her early demise.

Today, the 31st of July, is both Jk Rowling's and Harry's birthday. So Happy Birthday to both of you!

In an effort to develop the game and help “teach” 20Q™ about the world of Harry Potter, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, 20Q.net and Radica are encouraging Harry Potter fans to visit http://20Q.net and “train” this timeless game of 20 questions with characters, places and objects from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Radica will manufacture and distribute the new 20Q™ Harry Potter game later this year.

Early on Monday morning, JK Rowling took part in a web chat with with fans on the Bloomsbury web site. In the 90 minute chat, she answered some of the 120,000 questions that were submitted, and said to keep an eye on her web site for further answers to questions.
